The Shibuya Higashi Archives works from high-resolution images that museums around the world have released into the public domain, under CC0, or on equivalent terms, conserving, preparing, and recomposing them.

The Archives acts on the premise of respect for the original works, their makers, the holding institutions, and the released data. Source information and related credit lines are stated on collection and exhibition pages wherever possible.

Texts, compositions, designs, and editorial expression newly created on this site and in the official exhibitions app may carry rights of their own. For details, see the notices on each item and the terms of use.

For estimating the approximate region of access, this site uses the IP Geolocation by DB-IP database (CC BY 4.0), solely on the Archives’ own server.
